The Patient Throughput team gives hospital leaders real-time visibility into patient surges, discharge barriers, and bed capacity—helping optimize patient journeys through the hospital.
In this role, you’ll shape a mission-critical web app used daily by hospital leaders, charge nurses, and staff on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. You’ll develop new features and enhance reporting and monitoring tools that support faster decisions.
Staffing needs in hospitals can change right up until a shift begins, and reassigning staff quickly is critical to keeping patients safe and supported. Our team builds tools that make this process seamless—ensuring patients get the right care, reducing staff burnout, and improving outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build robust, scalable, and secure front-end solutions that directly support our business goals.
- Write clean, testable, and observable code, championing high standards for code quality and reliability across the team.
- Proactively identify and reduce technical debt, continuously driving improvements in our systems and processes.
- Take full ownership of projects, transforming initial ambiguity into clear, impactful results with minimal oversight.
- Contribute significantly to our front-end architecture, lead effective code reviews, and help shape our technical roadmap and team-wide direction.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features that genuinely meet user needs.
- Engage directly in customer demos and feedback sessions to gain a deeper understanding of how our product is used in the real world.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 4 to 7+ years of experience in building modern, browser-based applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A strong commitment to user experience (UX) and performance, ensuring your solutions are both effective and enjoyable to use.
- An ability to evaluate and communicate technical trade-offs when considering different architectural patterns and solutions.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern web application design patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, coupled with a genuine passion for mentoring and helping others grow.
- Self-sufficiency to navigate through complex tasks
- Experience using an AI-powered coding assistant (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code) to aid development speed, refactoring, and writing documentation.
BONUS POINT IF YOU HAVE
- Experience with data visualization libraries like Highcharts.js or D3.js.
- Proficiency in Python, our backend language.
- Experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Experience building healthcare or analytics-heavy products.

$120,000 - $170,000 a year
LeanTaaS takes a market-based approach to pay. The offered base salary will reflect careful consideration of a number of factors, including the level you are hired into, your location, skills and qualifications, prior relevant experience, internal equity, and market conditions. This range may be modified in the future.
