Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sales Lead with a robust background in B2B software sales to join our team. As the first sales hire, you will work closely with the CEO and Head of Marketing to focus on the top-of-funnel growth of our sales pipeline, as well as manage and close deals throughout the entire pipeline. This role is pivotal in building customer relationships and driving the adoption of Legitimate’s cutting-edge technology solutions. Your key market focus will be fashion and CPG retail brands (as well as their affiliated supply chain partners) in the US and Europe.
 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets and expand our customer base.
    • Foster strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
    • Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that convey the value proposition of our NFC and digital ID solutions.
    • Navigate full sales cycles from initial contact to deal closing, demonstrating a strategic sales approach.
    • Collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Marketing to refine sales strategies and tactics based on market feedback and results.
    • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
    • Represent Legitimate at industry conferences and events, enhancing company visibility and expanding professional networks.
    • Contribute to product and service improvements by sharing customer feedback with the product development team.
    • Be a brand advocate by building strong business relationships with key people in streetwear, luxury, and fashion, and retail industries.

Requirements

    • 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B software sales, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
    • Proficient in managing complex sales cycles from lead generation to closing.
    • Experience with CRM software.
    • Ability to work with a branded design system to create compelling sales presentations in PowerPoint.
    • Data-obsessed and highly proficient with using marketing and product analytics platforms (like Google Ads, HubSpot, LinkedIn, etc.) to help inform new and iterate on existing strategies as well as grow top of funnel sales strategies
    • Basic Blockchain Knowledge: Ability to communicate technical concepts in a simple manner that key stakeholders at non-technical brands and companies can understand.
    • Our staff is currently spread between North America and Asia. This position is remote and meetings are regularly scheduled in the US and Japan time zones. Flexibility in meeting hours will be required and travel is also mandatory a few times a year for onboarding, in-person planning sessions, client support, and conferences.

Nice to Have

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • Knowledge of NFC technology and digital identity solutions.
    • Ability to make small edits and changes to basic design assets (such as graphics, charts, and other infographics).
    • High drive for expanding and building personal and business developement relationships within Web3 and fashion/retail
    • Strong passion and understanding of the fashion/retail industry and knowledge of leading trends
    • Strong passion and understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, decentralized applications (DApps)

$60,000 - $90,000 a year
Yearly bonuses for achieving or exceeding sales targets are also provided (total amount subject to performance and hitting key KPIs)
