Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized UX Research Coordinator to join our dynamic research team. In this role, you will support a growing team of researchers, product managers, and designers by sourcing and screening participants, managing logistics, and ensuring that research projects run smoothly. You will be responsible for identifying and recruiting participants who meet the research criteria, managing participant compensation, and ensuring that the research budget is effectively tracked. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to user research efforts and make a meaningful impact on product development.

Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with researchers to understand participant profiles and source candidates who meet research requirements using tools like BigQuery, Looker, and Pendo.
    • Conduct screening surveys and phone interviews with potential participants to confirm eligibility for the study.
    • Manage participant communications, including sending invitations and scheduling research sessions.
    • Handle participant compensation, including determining appropriate payment amounts, issuing payments, and managing the research budget.
    • Track participant incentive spending and alert the team if costs are approaching or exceeding the budget.
    • Work with external partners when necessary to source non-customer participants.
    • Provide administrative and operational support to up to 5 researchers, as well as product managers and design teams.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine participant criteria and adjust sourcing strategies as needed.
    • Assist with additional research operations tasks as necessary to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Schedule research sessions and manage logistical details to ensure that research runs according to plan and on time.
    • Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Track and document participant data accurately to ensure all records are maintained for research analysis.
    • Assist with reporting and ensure that participant data is accessible and organized for the research team.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Research, UX, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in research operations, recruitment, or participant sourcing is a plus, but not required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with participants, team members, and stakeholders effectively
    • Ability to navigate complex or ambiguous sourcing challenges and think critically to resolve issues.
    • Willingness to learn and use data systems (such as BigQuery, Looker, and Pendo) for participant sourcing. Experience with these tools is a plus.
    • Strong ability to manage and document participant data and research budgets accurately.
    • Ability to work in a reactive, fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and adjusting priorities as needed.

Preferred (but not required)

    • A basic understanding of UX or product research principles.
    • Experience with budgeting and participant compensation management.
    • Prior experience working in research operations or supporting research teams is an advantage.
