Position Overview
We’re looking for a Lead Qualifier for a fast-growing UK-based education startup providing private tuition, consultancy, and academic mentorship to students around the globe. With a strong presence in the higher education space, passionate about improving student outcomes and helping learners achieve academic excellence through personalized guidance.
We’re now scaling our outreach and looking for a results-driven Lead Qualifier to join our international team. The successful hire will be the first point of contact for potential students and their families, helping them navigate our service offerings and guiding them toward the most appropriate educational support. You’ll be responsible for qualifying leads, handling objections, building rapport, and ultimately booking consultations that convert into long-term engagements.
This is a high-impact role where enthusiasm, empathy, and communication are key. You’ll work closely with UK-based consultants and play an integral part in expanding reach and mission to support academic success worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students or parents via email, phone, and messaging channels
- Use SPIN or similar consultative frameworks to understand goals, pain points, and readiness
- Build emotional rapport and mirror the customer’s language to foster trust
- Guide them to the next step: booking a tailored consultation with the UK sales advisors
- Accurately log conversations and lead data in Streak CRM
- Collaborate closely with two UK sales leaders, sharing feedback and call insights
- Surface trends from conversations to improve outreach and targeting strategy
Ideal Candidate
- You're an empathetic and articulate communicator who thrives in 1:1 conversation. Whether it’s guiding a student or supporting a teammate
- You’re someone who builds trust through listening, asking the right questions, and connecting emotionally with people’s journeys.
- You don’t push – you guide. You’re passionate about helping students find the right path, and you're energized by the opportunity to make a real impact in their lives.
You’re also:
- Ambitious – You’re excited to grow with a high-performing company on its path to industry leadership.
- Responsible – You take ownership of your work and are always looking to improve your results.
- A quick thinker – You enjoy solving problems on the spot and thinking on your feet.
- Organized – You can manage and convert multiple leads with strong attention to detail and structure.
- Tech-comfortable – You’re confident using CRM tools and digital systems to track leads and interactions.
- A team player – You thrive in a collaborative environment and celebrate shared wins.
- Experienced – You’ve worked in a B2C sales, customer support, or lead qualification role before.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in an education-related service or have familiarity with UK academic systems.
Qualifications
- Considerable years of experience in a sales development, lead qualification, or customer engagement role
- Familiarity with SPIN selling, needs-based sales, or consultative frameworks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Able to engage effectively with both students and parents
- Comfortable using CRM platforms (Streak experience is a plus)
- Ability to work in UK business hours from a quiet, reliable remote setup
What We Offer
- The chance to help students and families make informed academic decisions
- Supportive training, shadowing, and onboarding provided
- A fully remote work arrangement with flexibility and autonomy
- An opportunity to build a new offshore sales development function from the ground up
