Position Overview

The Sales Reporting Analyst will own the design, development, and maintenance of all sales reports and dashboards within Salesforce. Working closely with Sales Leadership and Revenue Operations, the analyst transforms raw CRM data into clear insights that drive smarter pipeline management, bookings forecasts, and go-to-market decisions. This role safeguards data quality, troubleshoots day-to-day reporting issues, and acts as the primary resource for any Salesforce reporting queries from the sales organisation.

Key Responsibilities

    • Build, enhance, and version-control Salesforce reports and dashboards covering pipeline health, bookings, revenue forecasts, activity metrics, and territory performance.
    • Audit CRM data regularly to spot anomalies, enforce data hygiene rules, and coordinate clean-up with sales users or system admins.
    • Translate stakeholder questions into technical reporting requirements, selecting the right report types, filters, and formulas to surface actionable answers.
    • Provide ad-hoc analysis and visualisations for quarterly business reviews, board packs, incentive planning, and campaign ROI.
    • Serve as the first line of support for report access issues, field additions, and user training on dashboards and report builder.
    • Partner with RevOps to refine forecasting methodology, opportunity stages, and attribution logic so that metrics reflect the latest sales process.
    • Document reporting standards, naming conventions, and change logs to ensure consistency and traceability across the reporting estate.

Qualifications

    • Five or more years in sales operations, revenue operations, or data analysis roles with heavy use of Salesforce reporting features
    • Demonstrated expertise with Salesforce report types, summary formulas, joined reports, and Lightning dashboards
    • Solid understanding of Salesforce data architecture, object relationships, and user permission models
    • Proven ability to translate business questions into scalable, well-governed CRM reports and dashboards
    • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data quality, validation rules, and field-level security
    • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to juggle multiple requests and set clear expectations on delivery timelines
    • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a plus
