For our Research and Development team in Zurich we are looking for a: Hardware Design Engineer (80 - 100%) You are fascinated by measurement devices that provide 160dB signal-to-noise ratios and you have talent in contributing to a team all focused on getting things up and running? This is your chance for working inside a high-quality R&D team striving for the best-in-class measurement software and hardware solutions. Your Profile Are you a result-oriented, intrinsically motivated person who loves to tackle challenges in a cooperative fashion? In this position you will be responsible for


    • Development and maintenance of electronic circuits (PCB based) for ZI products, including specification, conception, implementation, and documentation
    • Conducting characterization and qualification testing
    • Maintaining design resources, like EDA tools and PCB design libraries
    • Collaborating with and instructing external partners (e.g., PCB layouters and manufacturers)

Qualifications


    • MSc or BSc in Electrical engineering or in a related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in circuit design and characterization of mixed signal PCB’s involving analog/RF building blocks, FPGA’s/DSP’s, mixed-signal circuits (ADC, DAC) and power supply conditioning
    • Experience in using EDA tools for circuit design and simulation, like Altium Designer and Spice
    • Proficient user of lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNA’s
    • Team player enjoying close collaboration with other hardware, FW/HDL, and software team members
    • Fluent in English, German is a nice to have
