Our Endava family is growing! We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join the North America Sales & Marketing team in our Energy Sector. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Energy sector (utilities, water companies, power & renewables, solar, energy retail, oil & gas, resources for mining, etc) in the USA over the coming years and have the opportunity to work with the senior leadership of the sector. 
 
 
As a Business Development Representative, you will initiate business conversations through prospecting and outreach to both new and existing businesses within the Energy and Oil and Gas industry vertical. You'll do this by collaborating with a senior sales executive to successfully articulate the Endava value proposition.  
 
As a Business Development Representative, you will have ideally 6 months to 1+ year of experience with some form of sales. This may include retail sales, customer service, door-to-door, etc. 
 
The BDR role is a grade-1 level position within our Endava Sales Academy. The purpose of the academy is to groom junior to mid-level business development professionals towards a successful sales career at Endava! Location: Hybrid (3 days per week) onsite in the Dallas, TX office location.  
 

Responsibilities:


    • 50% of your time will involve opening conversations with prospects in new and existing accounts, under the direction of the industry vertical sales lead. This includes: 
    • Learning how to successfully articulate the Endava value proposition.  
    • Researching prospects, leveraging LinkedIn and other prospecting tools, and defining key opportunities in the account.  
    • Organizing and planning specific targeted client outreach within the industry vertical. 
    • Building a small network of client prospects, and establishing relationships with those contacts, including some c-level executives.  
    • Building brand awareness of Endava through various channels.  
    • Shaping and directing conversations depending on intent of action (MQLs, Partner initiatives, post-event follow up, introductions etc.)  
    • Meeting an expected number of new/existing client engagements within the industry vertical and helping the sales team meet FY targets.  
    • 30% of your time will involve learning and developing personal sales skills through self & social learning, and internal team knowledge and resources. This includes: 
    • Understanding the industry and the key industry themes and trends within the vertical. 
    • Linking industry challenges to appropriate customer success stories and/or Endava offerings.  
    • Developing relationships with peripheral teams such as account groups, delivery managers, and marketing, to understand the Endava business model and develop effective outreach campaigns.  
    • 20% of your time will involve supporting senior sales executives with client engagement, proposal build, and operational tasks. This includes: 
    • Utilizing internal Endava business winning tools and sales processes. 
    • Regular updating of accounts within our business systems. 

Requirements:

    • 6 months to 1year of experience with some form of sales.  
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or online research of IT services or IT consulting firms.  
    • A hunter-centric sales mentality for prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations, negotiating, and closing contracts, building relationships, and exceeding targets and goals.  
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level decision-makers. 
    • Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred but not required.  
    • Knowledge of or experience in private equity is a big plus
