Program Overview:
 
This role will exist within the Intern Program and is intended to attract undergraduate college students who are studying Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar technical disciplines. Students will be given the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the progress of Lexington Medical and its products, while gaining technical and soft skill which will prepare the student to continue to make impactful contributions throughout their career.

Education:  Must be currently attending an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical disciplines.
 
Location: Bedford, Massachusetts
 
Experience: No experience required. Engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering input during all stages of product development.
    • Implement incremental design improvements based on customer feedback.
    • Create and execute design of experiments for testing new design concepts, materials, and/or manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, functionality, and potential reduction in manufacturing time.
    • Perform official design verification testing as part of the Lexington Medical design release process.
    • Create and update Production Model Documentation, including assembly drawings, manufacturing procedures, and assembly records.
    • Develop Lexington Medical product knowledge as well as hands-on ability to operate.
    • Work independently and collaboratively across functions including Quality assurance/Regulatory affairs, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Production team to implement design improvement projects
