What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a multi-cloud architect who is passionate about helping enterprise clients. Reporting to the VP of Delivery and working cross functionally within Liatrio, this position will work with multiple clients/engagements throughout the year to understand the big-picture of their needs and provide transformative solutions, while working with the Liatrio team assigned to the specific client/engagement. This role will identify, analyze, research new tools, design, plan, establish standards, document, and support delivery teams on technical solutions for enterprise clients. The Enterprise Cloud Architect is comfortable speaking with C-level client executives to digest enterprise business needs and guiding them to best practices. This person is excellent at exciting clients through both whiteboarding a conversation on the fly and highly-polished proof of concept (PoC) presentations. This person is equally comfortable with engineers one-on-one to mentor them through challenges.

What You Do

We each bring varying degrees of knowledge to the table. This role will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cloud computing and will have extensive experience in the all domains and tools we use. This is not a comprehensive list; there may be other equally valuable skills and experience you bring that are not listed here:

Cloud
Comprehensive experience designing solutions in multiple cloud provider platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc 
Well-versed in providers’ cloud services and 3rd party tools
Deep understanding of the relationships between business needs and technology – including cost, infrastructure, data, platform, security, time constraints, resiliency, governance, etc 

Infrastructure Automation 
Designing, dveloping, managing and testing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible, etc
Cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Istio
Observability through tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, or Zipkin

Application Development / SDLC / CI/CD
Build systems such as Circle CI, Argo CD, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
Application development and testing with Go, Java, Javascript, .NET or Python
Using modern source control management systems and branching strategies

Coaching / Guiding 
Leading change to remove impediments (political, financial, mental, social) for the adoption of DevOps at the highest level of an enterprise 
Helping enterprises and IT organizations implement solutions that will enable business objectives
Guiding customers to support full end-to-end automation of software delivery (CI/CD)
Training and mentoring others on building solutions and smart developer behaviors (CI/CD/DDD/TDD/BDD)
Pushing patterns and practices to minimize future technical debt

Critical Thinking / Involvement
Solving complex, hands-on challenges and performing research when dealing with unknowns
Community contribution to open source projects, blogging, or conference speaking

Requirements
Employment eligibility: must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without the need for sponsorship.
Travel availability: we divide our time between working remotely and visiting our client sites located throughout the U.S. For most roles, travel typically ranges around once a month, depending on client need.

Full benefits including unlimited PTO, funded HSA option, 401k match, monthly LiveWell stipend, and quarterly company bonus
Annual base salary: $145,000-210,000 based on experience
