The Financial Operations Data Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing data to provide meaningful insights via data visualizations. This role uses SQL and other programming languages to query, summarize, and analyze key metrics, ensuring data integrity and developing data visualizations in support of Life.Church and YouVersion.

The Financial Planning & Analysis team partners with the organization on financial reporting and strategic planning needs. The Financial Data Analyst acts as a data advocate and vital technical resource for the Financial Operations Group. Through data structuring, integrity, innovation, and design, this role provides data solutions that equip teams and ministries to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ. 

What You’ll Do

    • Use financial and statistical analytics to identify trends, find correlations, and draw connections.
    • Present complex information in a meaningful way, translating data into storytelling data visualizations for decision-makers.
    • Perform investigative analysis and ensure integrity with data residing in MSSQL and BigQuery.
    • Optimize data structure for new and existing data analytics in Tableau.
    • Collaborate and partner with multiple teams to learn and inform data insights and strategy.

Skills Needed to Succeed

    • SQL, Python, or other related programming language skills and experience.
    • Basic understanding of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive statistics
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.
    • Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
    • Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes in a concise and simple way.
    • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
    • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
    • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors in STEM field preferred.
    • 1-3 years of related work experience.
