The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for driving strategy, execution, and process improvement for generosity initiatives within YouVersion. This role partners closely with other cross-functional teams to identify areas of opportunity, gather requirements, optimize workflows, and ensure solutions are implemented effectively. The Business Analyst supports both the planning and execution phases of projects, leads discovery and quality assurance, and identifies how tools, processes, and data connect to drive better results. This role partners with leaders to shape long-term strategies by identifying scalable, data-informed approaches to donor generosity and internal operations. The Business Analyst builds and presents clear business cases to senior leadership that focus on outcomes and translates complexity into actionable next steps that move initiatives forward. This role provides solutions that equip teams and ministries to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do
- Execute and optimize business solutions
- Define business requirements, map workflows, and deliver tools that enable teams to effectively support generosity initiatives.
- Collaborate with Internal Tools and Product teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and ministry goals.
- Identify where processes can be improved or scaled, and guide the design and delivery of those improvements.
- Lead quality assurance efforts from a business perspective to validate that functionality aligns with intended use.
- Own the execution of generosity initiatives from discovery through implementation, balancing strategic priorities with operational details.
- Proactively identify challenges or blockers in ongoing work streams and recommend solutions. Document processes, decision points, and outcomes to create clarity and alignment across projects.
- Facilitate decision-making by connecting team insights, surfacing trade-offs, and clarifying next steps.
- Build business cases grounded in real-world outcomes to help prioritize projects and guide investment decisions.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, connecting data to ministry and operational outcomes.
- Use reporting and analysis to evaluate initiative performance, with a focus on translating insights into action.
- Align cross-functional teams around ministry and operational goals
- Serve as a liaison between Donor Development, Product, Finance, Data Insights, and Internal Tools to ensure alignment on goals and execution plans.
- Partner with Data Insights to interpret giving trends, ministry impact data, and user behavior to inform strategic direction.
- Ensure that the broader business context is considered in technical discussions and implementation strategies.
- Lead meetings, working sessions, and presentations with key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Translate complex insights and organizational needs into clear communication that supports team alignment and decision-making.
Skills Needed to Succeed
- Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation
- Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships
- Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects
- Strong leadership skills and understanding of influencing and guiding others
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- 3 – 5 years of related work experience
