The Director of Marketing Operations is primarily responsible for aligning resources across the YouVersion Marketing Team to achieve ministry outcomes. This role oversees a team of project managers and serve as the operational backbone of the marketing team, ensuring that teams are focused on top priorities, projects remain on time and within budget, and resources are allocated efficiently to pursue both planned initiatives and emerging opportunities. The Director acts as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on operational readiness and organizational agility. The YouVersion Team Leader is responsible for casting vision, providing direction, and leading ministry efforts within their teams to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain standardized processes and tools to ensure consistent execution across all marketing lanes.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, driving accountability across stakeholders to meet objectives.
- Partner closely with YV Marketing leads and senior leadership to ensure operations align with strategic goals.
- Foster strong relationships across departments to ensure seamless project intake, prioritization, and delivery.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on operational readiness and organizational agility.
- Develop and deliver insights that help marketing leadership make informed decisions about prioritization and trade-offs.
- Implement systems to track KPIs related to operational efficiency and project throughput.
- Identify resource constraints and collaborate with leadership to resolve bottlenecks, rebalance workloads, and pursue new opportunities.
- Own and manage the resource allocation process across all marketing teams to ensure alignment with strategic ministry priorities.
- Lead and develop a team of project managers responsible for planning, tracking, and reporting on cross-functional marketing projects.
- Provide regular reporting on team capacity, project velocity, milestone completion, and resource forecasts.
- Continuously assess team capacity, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently to high-impact initiatives.
Skills Needed to Succeed
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships with the ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
- Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems.
- Maintain flexibility and initiate the creation of new processes and project strategies.
- Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to turn data into insights and action.
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies(Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) and tools(e.g., Asana, Wrike, Jira).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or a related field, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in resource planning and managing complex, cross-functional project teams.
- Experience working in ministry, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
