Life.Church conducts 131 online services every week, making church possible for people worldwide through Life.Church Online. The Host Team, comprised of dedicated volunteers, plays a crucial role in supporting these services and responding to the prayer requests of attenders.

The Life.Church Online Associate Host Team Pastor is primarily responsible for the Host Team volunteer experience and creating an environment that demonstrates the love of Jesus to Life.Church Online (LCO) attenders in partnership with the LCO Host Team Pastor. This role will also support Host Team projects, pastor attenders, and participate in team-wide initiatives.

This role is responsible for pastoral care and leadership of attenders and volunteers, in addition to supporting the operational and pastoral efforts of the LCO Host Team to achieve outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ. 

What You’ll Do

    • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop Host Team volunteers.
    • Ensure volunteers move forward in the volunteer leadership pipeline.
    • Pastor volunteers and LCO attenders.
    • Co-lead the Coaching team.
    • Ensure LCO services and teams are running efficiently and effectively, including weekend services.
    • Partner with LCO team members to facilitate team events.
    • Facilitate weekly vision videos and follow-up.
    • Provide real-time support to volunteer teams throughout the week and weekend.
    • Continually build and improve the Host Team infrastructure.
    • Monitor systems and reevaluate current operations.
    • Participate in Care Check activities.
    • Monitor communication channels such as Slack, Avochato, and email.
    • Support and execute both LCO and LCO Host Team goals.
    • Maintain communication with staff teams to ensure service excellence.

Skills Needed to Succeed

    • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
    • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
    • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
    • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 1 – 3 years of related work experience.
