The YouVersion Director of Major Donors is primarily responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding major donor relationships. The director is responsible for collaborating with their leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ. 
 
YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. At Life.Church, our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. What You’ll Do

    • Develop and implement a strategic plan that appropriately acknowledges and stewards the relationships with major donors.
    • Continually look and find new and creative ways to tell the story of YouVersion with major donors.
    • Plan strategic meetings and events to deepen donor relationships and increase generosity.
    • Gather stories and ensure that major donors are kept well-informed about the impact of their gifts.
    • Ensure appropriate and timely care and stewardship.
    • Monitor and analyze data to evaluate and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Develop and manage a donor acknowledgment and follow-up system.
    • Work closely with the YouVersion Development, Marketing, and Product teams to understand what is working and not working at engaging the YouVersion community and givers.
    • Create and maintain a customer relationships management (CRM) process to ensure the highest level of follow-up and care for donor relationships.
    • Ensure a high level of accuracy when providing information about the mission, accomplishments, and vision of YouVersion.
    • Develop effective donor communications, marketing materials, and proposals.
    • Capture, pull, and create raw assets needed to build communication with a compelling vision for action.
    • Serve with events or initiatives that support the entire team, including occasional travel and hosting guests.
    • Craft, implement, evaluate, and recraft the marketing, communications, and creative expression of YouVersion Development.
    • Represent YouVersion at key donor meetings and events.

Skills Needed to Succeed

    • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
    • Maintain flexibility and initiate processes and projects while exemplifying a high level of customer service.
    • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain and foster partnerships.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 1 – 3 years of related work experience.
