The Content Developer will play a key role in equipping pastors and church leaders around the world by developing and executing a strategic content plan that connects them with free tools, training, and resources from Life.Church. This role will help lead and shape the content experience across platforms like Life.Church Open Network, Church Online Platform, Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast, and additional channels that serve the global Church. This role will help connect the latest industry trends in content strategy with Life.Church’s ministry goals. The Content Developer utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

The Church to Church Team equips pastors and leaders worldwide with free resources. Through Life.Church Open Network, pastors can access more than 80,000 digital church resources that help them reach the communities they’re called to reach. The Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast equips leaders of every kind to grow through practical, personal, powerful leadership teaching.

What You’ll Do

    • Develop and lead the content strategy around Life.Church’s free tools, training, and resources
    • Partner with Product leaders for Open Network and Church Online Platform to identify thought leadership opportunities including blog topics, webinars, and trainings
    • Plan and execute a regular rhythm of new content creation, in sync with MarComm team members identifying timely promotion 
    • Curate content created by other Life.Church leaders and help repurpose it to share with other churches and ministries through Open Network
    • Collaborate on content development for the Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast, including guest interviews, podcast topics, and title ideation
    • Help lead efforts to foster a story-driven culture, and elevate transformational stories of ministry impact on churches using Life.Church’s tools and resources 
    • Collaborate with the Creative Media Group on bringing stories to life in a way that inspires action and engagement
    • Brainstorm and create ministry training content in partnership with other Life.Church teams 
    • Identify ways to grow Open Network’s audience and engagement to reach more leaders through media distribution platforms, including YouTube
    • Partner with MarComm team members to brainstorm and create unique content ideas for Open Network’s social media channels, growing reach and engagement across Instagram and other social media platforms 
    • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications and Marketing Manager on implementing innovative content marketing methods and a robust SEO strategy 
    • Host pastors and leaders as part of the Church to Church team
    • Champion cross-team projects and support campuses as needed
    • Support projects and events from the Directional Leadership Team’s office and other leaders as needed

Skills Needed to Succeed

    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible to change
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO best practices, and digital content performance metrics
    • Possess a strong understanding of industry trends in video content
    • Knowledge of filmmaking equipment and editing software is a plus, but not required
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofing skills
    • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions and problem solve
    • Can make independent decisions and problem solve with innovation and excitement 
    • Ability to manage conflict and differing opinions while maintaining composure 
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred 
    • 3-5 years of related work experience
