Reporting directly to the Director of Global Logistics & Warehousing, you'll spearhead the logistical and warehouse operations within your designated region, taking charge of every aspect of our supply chain.

What you'll do:

    • Assess the region’s operations, data and reporting needs alongside the Director of Global Logistics & Warehousing and collaboratively develop an action plan. 
    • Conduct monthly face-to-face meetings between Amsterdam and Rotterdam offices.
    • Manage import, export, and domestic distribution functions, optimizing fulfillment-to-delivery processes.
    • Maintain relationships with local service providers; supporting timely and accurate invoice validation and approvals, and serve as an escalation point for your regional distribution team.
    • Develop metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements around your region's performance.
    • Collaborate cross functionally for budgeting, purchasing, accruals and reconciliations.
    • Ensure compliance with the inventory management team’s principles and processes.
    • Collaborate with the global logistics team to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement process enhancements globally.
    • Manage, lead and develop your team fostering their growth and development and enabling effective goal achievement.
    • Lead your region’s compliance with EHS and DG requirements as it applies to the logistics and warehouse functions. 
    • Coordinate with trade compliance to ensure all documentation and regulatory requirements are met consistently.
    • Stay up to date with all relative duties, tariffs, VAT and customs requirements for your region’s activities.

About you:

    • 8+ years of experience working within a global logistics operation focused on operations planning, inventory management, DC fulfillment, and order flow process with the ability to effectively manage deliverables for a global warehousing and logistics team.
    • 5+ years of experience managing large distribution operations.
    • Ability to work onsite in Rotterdam and Amsterdam on a monthly basis and travel internationally 10% of the time.
    • Prior 3PL and LSP relationship management experience.
    • Experience with RPQ and RFP facilitation for warehousing and logistics services.
    • Experience working within an ERP or WMS required (NetSuite a plus).
    • Comfortable presenting metrics and operational updates to leadership.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with and influence individuals at all levels across a global organization. 
    • High-energy and sound decision maker with the ability to make data-based decisions with a cost focused mindset. 
    • Fluent verbal and written English language skills.
