We are looking for a Sr. Manager to build Lime’s Global Reuse and Recycling program. You will collaborate with central operations, local teams, and external partners to understand requirements and develop effective solutions for Lime’s reuse and recycling needs to ensure compliance and corporate sustainability missions are met. You will be a results-oriented focused individual who is comfortable working in an extremely dynamic and changing environment. The ability to tackle immediate problems while keeping an eye toward longer-term game-changing solutions will enable you to thrive in this position.

As the Sr. Manager of Operations Sustainability, you will not only ensure operational excellence, but also provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure that goals, objectives, and commitments are consistently met or exceeded. You will collaborate with a diverse team from across the organization to drive the Reuse and Recycling efforts to develop innovative and industry-leading programs based on consistency with corporate requirements, applicable regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

    • Review and evaluate our reuse and recycling needs
    • Lead the development and implementation of reuse and recycling initiatives including closed loop, component pre-destruction and witnessing guidelines across the globe
    • Execute daily reuse and recycling operations (including logistics path) at contract manufacturers, warehouses
    • Identify, track and report on KPIs to demonstrate the performance of the global reuse and recycling programs that Lime currently operates
    • Partner with various department representatives at Lime globally to drive secure and environmentally beneficial reuse and recycling solutions Support Corporate EHS compliance audits of Lime’s global recycling chain, ensuring that all steps in the recycling chain meet or exceed regulatory and contractual performance requirements
    • Lead staff, technical consultants, and vendors to assess, develop and implement innovative and industry-leading programs globally which meet the company's long-term sustainability goals
    • Monitor performance, track and report against compliance and sustainability  goals
    • Use data to creatively solve problems, find ways to improve, and track results
    • Forecast and set quarterly goals for sustainability end of life operations
    • Be a culture carrier, and create a fun, inclusive, and safe workplace
    • Act as SME on Zero Waste and related topics; participate in company-wide working groups and conversations related to Zero Waste to build relationships and drive change

About You

    • B.A/B.S or Masters in Environmental Studies/ Management, Supply Chain or related fields
    • 7+ years experience in successfully leading a team of professionals, or equivalent role, ideally in a startup or similar environment
    • Previous experience working in a dynamic environment, standing up global electronic or other material reuse programs
    • Shared passion with our sustainability mission
    • Excellent communicator who is capable of motivating teams, collaborating with diverse groups across a large organization, and liaising with external partners as needed
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, similar organizations around the world
    • Travel up to 30% of the time
    • Experience navigating ambiguous environments solving complex problems while exercising good judgement
    • A data-driven nature, and attention to detail that drive your love of process improvement
    • Self-motivated, energetic, and driven with the drive to learn new skills
    • Strong business acumen and technical background
    • Can quickly understand and communicate environmental concepts and challenges across a wide range of audiences
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive management
    • Comfortable hosting senior level leaders and providing status/program updates
    • Great passion for the intersection of tech, waste, sustainability and the environment
