Center for Community Investment Overview
The Center for Community Investment (CCI) at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy works to ensure all communities can unlock the capital needed to overcome disinvestment and ensure all people have what they need to thrive. We help communities set the stage for investments that advance their goals by helping leaders clarify local priorities, enlist institutions that could contribute to success, develop a pipeline of investments to achieve the vision, and change policies and practices to create a more supportive financing environment. We have a well-established framework and approach that community partnerships can use to mobilize investment capital to create opportunities for affordable housing, jobs, fresh foods, and other drivers of good health while making communities more cohesive, resilient, and environmentally sustainable in the face of climate change.

CCI is seeking creative self-starters with a strong learning orientation to join our team.  The right candidates will combine an interest in the big picture with the ability to pay close attention to detail. 

Position Overview
The 3C Program Assistant will support the Connecting Capital and Community (3C) Initiative (see This role reports to the 3C Initiative Director.
The Leadership Development Program Assistant will support the Field Catalyst ( and Fulcrum Fellows ( programs, as well as efforts to foster a robust network of practitioners. This role reports to the Director of Leadership Development.
This is a full-time position in in Washington, D.C. area, COVID permitting, or remotely, @ 37.5 hours/week. CCI is currently fully remote.

What You’ll Do - support planning and execution of the CCI programming

    • Participate in and coordinate the planning, implementation and follow up associated with convenings, including supporting program managers and associates in all aspects of execution 
    • Work with Operations team on logistics for in-person events, including hotel blocks, meeting space, program staff travel, catering, and participant reimbursements
    • Ensure in-person convenings run smoothly, including appropriate session room set up, technology, catering, and participant lodging 
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings with and for consultants, staff, and program participants 
    • Help prepare, assemble, and distribute documents and other materials for convenings and meetings
    • Coordinate internal and external convenings/webinars/meetings, book rooms, assign dial-in/Zoom info, and keep Outlook calendars up-to-date, ensure appropriate IT is set up, manage catering and material needs as required
    • Provide support on technology tools like Zoom, Box, Canvas, and shared calendars to participants and staff
    • Help document and track activities and progress of program and participating teams
    • Take clear, comprehensive notes at meetings and on phone calls
    • Maintain all program documents, notes, and research in an organized and accessible manner
    • Contribute to creating and maintaining an organizational culture that is respectful, values learning, and promotes equity and opportunity
    • Support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
    • Domestic travel will be required (approximately 20% FTE), COVID permitting

What You’ll Need - CCI holds an expansive approach to experience and educational requirements. All candidates should possess experience in program coordination, administrative support, planning and coordinating events and meetings, hospitality, customer service or other relevant experience. This may be met by:

    • 4 years of relevant experience, with no undergraduate educational requirement
    • Associates degree and three years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience

Compensation Overview
The salary market range for this role is $52K – $55K depending on level of education and years of experience.
