ROLE OVERVIEW
We're searching for a highly motivated Cloud Engineer with a solid DevOps foundation and Terraform expertise to join our team and take responsibility for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a highly adaptable problem-solver with extensive cloud technology knowledge and a passion for innovation. They will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment working with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and secure release processes, using their cloud technology expertise to solve complex challenges.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, adhering to industry best practices and security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions using tools like Terraform
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and templates to optimize deployment, configuration, and monitoringImplement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
- Partner with development teams to streamline application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate efficient release processes
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust security controls, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures
- Participate in capacity planning, scalability assessments, and cost optimization initiatives
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance overall cloud infrastructure performance and reliability
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure services
- Proficiency in Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Solid grasp of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline)
- Deep understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security, data protection)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plusStrong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Ability to work outside of business hours as needed and be available by cell phone at all times
- Collaborative, team player mentality
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- AWS or Azure certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of Github, GitLab CI/CD preferred
$95,000 - $115,000 a year
This role is eligible for an annual 7.5% bonus, based on performance.

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
