Position Summary

Do you have a passion for developing and commercializing revolutionary technology, either in a start-up or as part of a new product group? Do you have an advanced degree and a strong background in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, the physical chemistry of surfaces, or interfacial phenomena?

The Product Development Engineer will work collaboratively to bring LiquiGlide enabled products to market in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. It provides an exciting opportunity to not only change the rules for packaging design and product development, but to also have far-reaching effects on sustainability by eliminating waste and increasing recyclability within CPG packaging.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop new coatings and package concepts, and test, refine, and optimize them until ready for commercial deployment. 
Optimize coating formulation and spray coating process parameters and assist the team with production runs and sample evaluation. 
Develop and deliver specifications, procedures, and quality control metrics to the manufacturing team.
Develop test methods and best practices to accelerate coating development and optimization.
Master LIS science through independent study and training sessions.
Study and experiment independently to gain LIS expertise that will enable you to grow in critical R&D and project management functions as the company scales.

Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience and proven ability to design effective experiments.
Proven independent research tackling challenging problems and providing innovative solutions. 
Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ambitious and comfortable with ambiguity.
Team player.
Start-up experience is desirable.

Education
Masters or PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Physical Chemistry preferred.
