Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Biomedical Coatings Engineer to help us continue to develop and commercialize our revolutionary technology. If you have a strong background in medical devices, biomaterials, polymer science, microbiology, or bio-interfacial phenomena, we would love to hear from you!

Who You Are:
Experience in product development and/or commercialization with medical devices.
Strong hands-on experience and proven ability to design effective experiments in coating development, microbiological assays, organic/polymer synthesis, surface modification, medical device evaluation, and/or animal and clinical trials.
Experience testing devices for compliance with relevant national and international standards (e.g. with FDA 510k pathway).
Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ambitious and comfortable with ambiguity.
Masters or PhD Degree in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, or polymer science preferred.

What You'll Do:
Quickly master LIS science through independent study, tutorials and training sessions.
Study and experiment independently to gain LIS expertise that will enable you to grow in critical R&D and project management functions as the company scales.
Develop test methods and best practices to accelerate coating development for medical device coatings.
Lead large, client-funded coating development projects, managing clients as well as internal project teams, and consultants.
Develop and maintain project plans and road maps and act as key point of contact for clients and internal management.
Help lead regulatory clearance for new coatings on existing products.
Assist in development of novel IP.
