Here in the US, we operate 39 schools in the New England area under three brands: Little Sprouts, Building Blocks, and Heartworks Early Education & Child Care Centers.  

We seeking a Facilities Manager, who will report to the Sr. Facilities Director. You’ll use your skills and experience as a Facilities Manager to lead a team of four technicians to support our centers daily. You will be responsible for all aspects of our buildings and grounds to ensure the maintenance of our early education centers within Eastern MA and Southern NH. You will partner with center leaders across the portfolio to ensure that we exceed expectations by serving the needs of our children, families, and staff.

What We Will Achieve Together:

    • Communication & Collaboration: Responsible for cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external partners and landlords/property managers. Enable open communication and coordination between all parties.
    • Strategic Management: Create a long-term and short-term maintenance and improvement plans for each center including assisting in the creation of and performance to annual budget for center maintenance and repairs.
    • Budget Management: Ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality (Focus on Value).
    • Facilities Management: Review and approve maintenance and facilities-related invoices and expense reports.
    • Lead project management efforts for the team, coordinating implementation and tracking progress.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise in the maintenance and upkeep of our centers.
    • Vendor Management: Develop and conduct RFP and RFQ packages for all building, playground, and grounds services.
    • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities align with brand standards, legal standards and safety regulations through periodic inspections at every center.
    • Local vehicle travel will be required 40% of the time.

Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience in a similar or related role.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
    • Experience in handling vendors and overseeing multiple facilities.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with various levels of management.
    • Ability to run budgets and understand financial statements.
    • Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations in facilities management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a Work Order Management system.
    • Possess a driver's license (in good standing) and reliable transportation.
    • All individuals must complete a background record check as required by the Department of Early Education and Care.

$80,000 - $105,000 a year
Commensurate with experience.
