Work in a busy team environment to produce exciting, creative, marketing materials adhering to banner and brand guidelines for the Corporate Brands and Divisions of Loblaw Companies. This role supports, printed marketing material, store POS, website, social media, and digital marketing material. Production Designer must have the ability to juggle projects while maintaining 100% accuracy is key. To take complete charge of projects under the manager’s guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Artwork For Approvals, ensuring the proper use of Dielines, Project Listing Information, Design, Final Copy, Brand Standards.
- Address all comments and concerns from suppliers and other internal departments, to complete Final Artwork.
- Collaborate with Designers, Re-touchers, Editorial and Proofreaders, and Product teams, as required to achieve project objectives.
- Work within the Loblaw workflow, ensuring necessary tasks are completed at the correct interval and completed properly, to maintain the integrity of the workflow.
- Interact with various Loblaw databases and systems for retrieving and updating Artwork information, including digital file system
- Keep up-to-date with current developments in software and hardware technologies as applicable to role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Minimum Post-secondary degree in a related field required
- Open-mindedness and able to positively respond to constructive feedback
- Experience with Print and pre-press production, digital production
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud 2023
- Mastery of key components of the Adobe Creative Suite on the Mac platform, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere After Effects
- Advanced knowledge of Web, Social and Digital Media Marketing
- Design knowledge, layout through to final production
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining organized and detail-oriented (soft proof reading)
- Excellent file management and organization
- An understanding of technical requirements for different final deliveries, including a knowledge of printing, prepress and digital processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, while also being able to work independently with a high degree of self-direction and motivation.
- Experience with Adobe WorkFront or other PM software is a bonus
