The impact you'll make

As an Intermediate Software Developer (Frontend - Dev II) you will be building media solutions for Advanced powered by Loblaw. Advance powered by Loblaw™ drives brands forward. We are unlocking Loblaw’s exclusive purchase pattern data, customer intelligence, and millions of daily connections with shoppers to drive growth for our business partners. Backed by both the country’s leading grocery and pharma retailer, and the nation’s leading loyalty program, PC Optimum ™, we have a unique set of assets to help consumer brands reach customers and grow their retail business more effectively. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in front-end technologies such as React, Vue, and Angular, to develop and enhance our digital platforms. You will be a leader in our collaborative team of Ad Tech developers, working closely with Engineering, UX, Product, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, polished experiences to various business divisions.

What you'll do

    • Develop, implement, and maintain applications built in React, ensuring seamless integration with our back-end services.
    • Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
    • Drive the design and development of reusable components, advocating for efficient, maintainable code.
    • Conduct and participate in code, architecture, and technical reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.
    • Proactively explore and advocate for new front-end technologies and standards that enhance our development processes and user experiences.

What you'll need

    • Proven expertise in React and a strong foundation in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and responsive design.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide projects from conception to implementation.
    • Proficient in working with Git, including experience with pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD systems.
    • A collaborative approach to building and debugging complex systems, combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Strong UX/UI capabilities, with a focus on leveraging modern browser technologies to create consumer-facing products.
    • A passion for enhancing software development workflows/processes and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
    • Nice to haves: Experience with TypeScript, Jest, GraphQL, Redux, Node.js, Next.js, Babel, Angular and Highcharts
