We are looking for a talented and experienced Civil CAD Technician or Designer to join our Water Resources team. This position can be based out of any of our Indiana offices: Evansville, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, South Bend, Mishawaka, or Fort Wayne.

In this position the candidate will:

    • Produce drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit for projects pertaining to design, plans, and specifications for Water Resources projects that include water, wastewater, and stormwater.
    • Prepare GIS exhibits for design and planning studies.
    • Perform quantity computations and checks.
    • Read and interpret schematic and construction plans.
    • Understand and work with surveying data provided by survey department.
    • Apply basic engineering standards to plan development and layout.
    • Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications and various Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations.
    • Completes tasks assigned by the Project Engineer/Manager within allocated budget and schedule and proactively communicate status of task assignments.
    • Perform related work as required. 

Qualifications for this role:

    • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • 5+ years of relevant CAD experience
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS and geometric functions
    • A general understanding of construction material and practices, and the ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of current state/county standards and specifications procedures
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
