We are looking for a talented Structural Engineering professional to assist with the growth and leadership of our Structural Engineering team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with extensive structural engineering and project management experience working on DOT and/or local agency transportation design projects. In this position, the candidate will:

    • Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Indianapolis Structural team.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line.
    • Apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design.
    • Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
    • Work on major projects or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features.
    • Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
    • Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
    • Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
    • Prepare proposals and funding applications.
    • As opportunities present themselves this role may also be involved in other various projects and responsibilities.

Qualifications for this role:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
    • Professional Engineer (PE)
    • 12+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
    • Experience with project management and accounting software
    • Exceptional organization skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
