Lochmueller Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join our team and play a key role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records. In the role you will be responsible for preparing and sending invoices, following up on payments, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and communication skills.

In this position, the candidate will:
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring all billable work is documented accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
- Follow up with clients to confirm receipt of invoices and remind them of upcoming or overdue payments.
- Monitor and record payments, ensuring correct application to invoices and accounts.
- Assist with reconciling accounts receivable records against bank deposits and other financial records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between payments and invoices.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances; escalate issues to senior staff as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transactions, including invoices, payments, and client correspondence.
- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts receivable and overdue accounts.
- Support senior staff with complex issues such as dispute resolution, client negotiations, and detailed account analysis.
- Follow established policies and procedures for accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 0-5 years of accounts receivable experience with a working knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff across various departments and levels within the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service capabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
