What We Do

Loft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space. Powered by our hardware & software products, we operate satellites, fly customer payloads onboard, and handle entire missions from end to end - significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.

Our standard interface enables us to fly multiple customer payloads on the same satellite, with capabilities such as earth imagery, weather & climate /science data collection, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, and national security missions. Our customers trust us to manage their space infrastructure, so they can focus on what matters most to them: operating their mission and collecting their data.

With 2 satellites on-orbit and a wave of exciting missions launching soon, we are scaling up quickly across our offices in San Francisco, CA | Golden, CO | and Toulouse, France.

We are looking for a technical recruiter, based out of our Toulouse office, to help drive & support Loft's hiring process from end to end. This person has a "hunter's mindset" when it comes to sourcing and will play a key role in developing (and maintaining) a talented and diverse candidate pipeline, with a primary focus in the European Union.

Location: Our preference for this role is for someone to work on-site in our Toulouse office. That being said, we operate as a globally distributed team and realize that sometimes the best candidates can’t realistically relocate.  In select cases & for certain roles, we are open to hiring remotely.

What You'll Do:

    • Source candidates using a variety of platforms & strategies (this role will have an emphasis on sourcing, but will provide opportunities to work at every stage of the hiring process)
    • Effectively pitch Loft's mission, culture, and team to attract high caliber candidates
    • Establish & build relationships with passive candidates, who may be drawn to Loft over time
    • Communicate with the internal recruiting team, to establish priorities & strategies
    • Screen candidate CVs and profiles
    • Keep ATS (applicant tracking system) up to date with candidate status/activity
    • Perform initial phone interviews/screens, to move qualified candidates into the interview process
    • Maintain communications with candidates throughout the interview lifecycle - make their interview experience at Loft extraordinary & unique
    • Dive deep into European Union startup / tech industries - have a pulse on up & coming companies + where we can find candidates who are a match for
    • Report weekly on status of candidate/job pipelines
    • Utilize social media (LinkedIn) to improve Loft's employer brand + drive candidates to our job postings

There is a good chance you’ll love this job if you:

    • Have experience as a full cycle recruiter in a fast paced, agency environment
    • Have experience sourcing (and closing) mid to executive level engineering / tech candidates
    • Have worked extensively with LinkedIn Recruiter
    • Can use boolean search terms effectively
    • Are an ATS power user (we use Lever)
    • Have a solid understanding of engineering & software terminology - enabling you to have thoughtful & engaging conversations with candidates
    • Have an interest & knowledge in the EU startup environment - you stay up to date on the latest of deep/hardware tech in Europe
    • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)

Bonus Points:

    • Experience working in the space industry or other tech startups
    • Familiar with Atlassian products such as Trello and Confluence
