We are looking for a safety-oriented underground construction laborer. An Underground Laborer is responsible for building underground infrastructure in multiple duties such as digging holes to locate utilities, back filling holes, hooking up and connecting conduits, assisting the equipment operators, and landscape restoration. An emphasis on safety is a must; both our crew members' safety and safely excavating around existing utilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PA1Call knowledge.
- Experience safely locating and excavating around other utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret OSP maps and designs.
- Knowledge of NESC, OSHA, and related state and local codes
- Good analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with multiple department staffs.
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures.
- Standard traffic control knowledge.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Hardworking and the ability to work through challenges and obstacles.
$18 - $24 an hour
