We are looking for a Communications Lineman to join our team and install or repair fiber optic lines that run above or below ground. Lineman responsibilities include installing strand and fiber optic lines in the communications space on utility poles.

Install 1/4" messenger strand

Install and lash/overlash fiber optic lines and MST's

Attend to call-outs and perform repairs in an efficient and timely manner

Report progress, complications, concerns, and delays to the supervisor

Clear away tree branches near fiber lines

Proven work experience as a Lineman or similar role

Extensive experience with climbing gear, aerial lifts, tensioners, guying

In-depth knowledge of federal safety regulations and guidelines

Knowledge of cabling diagrams, as well as electrical and building codes

Superb troubleshooting abilities

Great organizational and time-management skills

Relevant safety training and/or certifications

$20 - $27 an hour
