Job duties;
- Locate for drilling equipment to complete assigned projects.
- Locate in both standard and high-risk areas, with live utilities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of utility depths and placements.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe manner.
- Review field designs, communicating discrepancies to supervisor for change orders.
- Properly document all work completed to include pothole and bore logs.
- Conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed.
- Complete general restoration and cleanup
- Complete all projects with safety as the #1 priority, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental orders.
Requirements;
- Prior locating for directional drilling experience required.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred, company willing to assist candidates with CDL.
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
- Ability to travel daily, ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons.
- Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption.
- Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs as needed.
- Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather conditions year-round.
- Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools.
$26 - $28 an hour
Salary range higher if applicant has their CDL.
