Lorentz Bio is a research company working on a moonshot goal. Candidates can look forward to joining the founding team and building a well-resourced research program, with access to infrastructure, engineering talent, and operational capacity not available in a conventional academic context.

As Lorentz Bio’s Head of People Operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment. This role will involve a variety of tasks focused on HR and administrative tasks, including but not limited to benefits administration, onboarding and off-boarding, maintaining HR records, and providing support for company-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

    • Administer employee benefits and answer employee questions regarding benefits.
    • Assist in recruitment efforts, including the creation and posting of job descriptions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation for all employees.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of people operations policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate and assist with company events and initiatives focused on culture and employee engagement.
    • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
    • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.

Key Qualifications

    • Proven experience in a people operations role, HR role, or similar.
    • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent industrial experience in life sciences.
