About the role
The mission of this position is to deliver market-leading magic-in-a-card for the Lovepop customer from the continued development and iteration of our product formats. Lead the team of product designers and engineers to design inspiring, memorable product experiences that give our customers more ways to connect with the people they most care about.
Accountabilities
- Product format innovation: Continuously push on the boundaries of our product formats to create offerings that are unique, different, and more special. Leverage new engineering, new materials, and new treatments to elevate the product experience and deliver ever increasing value to the customer. Drive innovation that is scalable, clearly improves product fit and finish, and drives margin growth for the business.
- New format invention: Drive a deep and sustained pipeline of new product formats with one never-before-seen format launching every 6 months at a minimum. These formats should be never-seen-before engineered inventions that seamlessly integrate into our product strategy, give our customers more ways to build special connections, and drive brand awareness and cache.
- Product format 3D engineering: Drive the continued build of our proprietary 3DLIT library of unique and impactful fold-flat, 3D sculptures across all product formats. Partner with the line planning and concept development teams to bring new themes and illustrations to life with needle-moving innovation.
Metrics
Format revenue growth: Innovation delivers consistent growth in our Investment and Sustain product formats as dictated by our line planning function.
New format introduction revenue: New format launches are consistently top revenue products in their launch period.
Gross margin: High quality innovation that grows customer value at a higher rate than the cost to deliver the product.
