We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Product Owner to drive the successful delivery and market readiness of our cutting-edge SaaS solution in the cognitive function and readiness space. This role blends Agile product ownership with new product commercialization — turning research-driven concepts into scalable, market-ready solutions that improve user outcomes and drive measurable results.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams — including software development, design, research, sales, and marketing — to define product requirements, gain customer insights, and develop and manage the product roadmap.
The AXON Product Owner will report directly to AXON’s parent company’s Chief Product Officer and work closely with the Chief Science Officer, software development and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities:


    • Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
    • Act as the Product Owner on a Scrum team: define and prioritize the product backlog, write detailed user stories, and ensure timely, high-quality sprint delivery.
    • Translate product vision and business needs into a product roadmap with executable development tasks and outcomes that aligns with goals.
    • Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and developers, ensuring alignment and transparency.
    • Work with UX/UI specialists to provide an experience that incorporates accessibility, usability, and design excellence.
    • Analyze usage data and customer behavior to identify and implement high-impact product improvements.  
    • Confirm, document and prioritize issue reports to ensure timely resolution.

    • Commercialization Strategy
    • Support the commercial readiness of new product features and offerings — from beta through general availability.
    • Support pilot and beta initiatives by assisting with onboarding and feedback collection and analysis
    • Take ownership of the delivery and optimization of monetization features (e.g., subscription tiers, enterprise dashboards, API licensing).

    • Innovation & Market Validation
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to validate product fit and identify white space opportunities.
    • Engage with early adopters and user panels to extract actionable insights for roadmap shaping.
    • Manage and automate onboarding of users, collecting usage data and feedback to inform feature refinement and future enhancements.

    • Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with teams to align product development with organizational goals.
    • Clearly communicate plans, progress, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
    • Advocate for the customer voice throughout the development process.
    • Represent the product function in investor updates and strategy sessions.

Qualifications:

    • 1–3 years of experience in product management or product ownership, ideally in SaaS or digital health.
    • Business or technology degree or certificate
    • Demonstrated experience in launching or commercializing new products in a structured product development process is desirable.
    • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies; Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) a plus.
    • Experience with UX, user research, pilot testing, and iterative feedback loops.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with health tech, ed tech, or cognitive performance tools is desirable.
    • Strategic thinker with a bias toward action and results.
$70,000 - $80,000 a year
