The primary responsibility of the Recruiter is to provide results-oriented sourcing strategies that procure the best available Linguists (Interpreters / Translators / Cultural Consultants) that meet our clients’ specific requirements and demands, while supporting the Independent Contractor business model in the language services industry.  The successful candidate will identify, interview, screen, rank and negotiate rates with Linguists who will fill specific language needs.  In this role, it is vital that the Recruiter possess excellent technical skills and high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet research tools and Web conferencing solutions.  The candidate must also be able to leverage online job boards and social networking websites to promote opportunities for Linguists.  The Recruiter must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate responsibly and in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities

    • Identify and evaluate Linguists
    • Schedule and conduct phone screenings and evaluations
    • Research and source relevant resumes through networking, community interaction, and/or internet databases
    • Negotiate competitive rates while supporting the industry’s Independent Contractor business model
    • Encourage qualified Linguists to join LSA’s network
    • Track candidates’ progress throughout the sourcing process, leading towards activation in the network
    • Manage Interpreter communications (e-mails, phone calls and announcements)
    • Generate and manage advertisements on job boards and social networking websites
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with Interpreters once activated to the network
    • Respond and react quickly to changes in priorities and / or clients’ demands
    • Represent the company at job fairs and Interpreter networking events (must be able to describe company service lines, as well as Interpreter / language requirements)

Requirements

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to type 30 words per minute and excellent 10 key skills
    • Experience with Lever or other applicant tracking systems
    • 1+ years of recruiting experience preferred
