The IT Project Manager plans, coordinates and monitors projects and project groups from initiation through delivery and evaluation. This role oversees all aspects of assigned projects, including leadership, direction, and administration of software development projects while utilizing the Project Management best practices. The IT Project Manager will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize project progress, and identify risks, issues, and key stakeholders. They must have the ability to assert authority in a cross-organizational environment to drive project timeliness, quality, and deadline adherence.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage the end-to-end execution of project plans by following the Project Management Life Cycle, adopting Best Practices,and fully utilizing a Project Management System.
    • Effectively measure project scope, scope creep, issues and risks, schedule status and variance, and resource management challenges as they relate to assigned projects. Act on data in a timely manner, resulting in no surprises.
    • Proactively monitor and accurately communicate regarding project performance using PMS, dashboards, reports and other communication mediums. Regularly attend meetings with cross functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.
    • Proactively collaborate across projects with managers to identify project risks, issues and efficiencies and to avoid scheduling or resource conflicts on inter-related projects.
    • Ability to be highly assertive when building and maintaining project schedules.
    • Responsible and accountable for full knowledge and execution of project management best practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Proficient with Azure DevOps (VSTS)
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Professionally represent one's team and projects to management
    • Knowledgeable in Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban development principles
    • Generally technically astute
