We are an aerospace R&D company building experimental and certified airships. We are developing and manufacturing advanced technologies to dramatically increase the capabilities and lower the cost of 21st-century airships.
LTA’s airships will have the ability to complement and even accelerate humanitarian disaster response and relief efforts, especially in remote areas that cannot be easily accessed by plane and boat due to limited or destroyed infrastructure. We ultimately aim to create a family of aircraft with zero emissions that would substantially reduce the global carbon footprint of aviation when used for shipping goods and moving people.

We are seeking a Fleet Manager to help us track and maintain our DOT-regulated fleet of vehicles that supports our airship operations.


    • Manage a fleet of 30+ vehicles including oversize, tanker, and hazmat
    • Maintain current fleet status information and documents
    • Build and maintain DOT-compliant vehicle, permit, and operator qualification tracking programs
    • Track scheduling of DOT vehicles and operators to ensure that operator regulatory requirements are met
    • Manage and assist the heavy equipment maintenance team
    • Perform heavy equipment maintenance operations as required
    • Act as the company liaison to DOT, contractors, and outside agencies in support of airship and ground operations
    • Travel frequently in support of airship operations
    • Responsible for maintenance and tracking of tools, vehicles, and other support equipment


    • Requisite knowledge of DOT regulations, including permit acquisition
    • Previous heavy equipment maintenance experience
    • Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with little oversight
    • Willing and able to travel frequently

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous airship or aerospace operations experience
    • ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic
    • Class A CDL
    • Previous management experience

Physical & Compliance Requirements:

    • Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds
    • Capable of sitting or standing for long periods of time
    • Capable of working in outdoor-type weather conditions year-round
    • Background check clearance
    • DOT/Drug Test clearance wherever applicable
    • Clean driving record/MVR clearance
    • Fully vaccinated against COVID
