We are currently seeking a battery pack and module test technician. This position requires an experienced professional with relevant experience testing battery packs and modules in an R&D, prototype and/or production environment. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

    • Execute testing of battery module and packs using test equipment such as AVL, CHROMA, MACCOR and ARBIN
    • Document results of tests in a clear and concise manner
    • Build and commission test fixtures and harnesses
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing equipment
    • Plan, setup, organize and maintain the battery lab space and equipment

Qualifications:

    • Experience working with high voltage battery packs and modules
    • Experience working with battery testing equipment
    • A basic understanding of lithium-ion battery safety and dangers
    • A proven track record of generating easy to follow reports
    • Experience setting up and maintaining test labs
    • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude
    • Detail oriented and organized mindset
    • Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of project

Preferred:

    • 2+ years of experience using battery test equipment
    • Experience with planning and executing series of tests
    • Experience using basic electrical and mechanical skills to build test fixtures
    • Understanding of lithium-ion electrochemistry

Education:

    • Associate in Electronics or related field
