The Role

    • Work with the functional safety team to ensure compliance to the functional safety standards and requirements
    • Use your experience working with functional safety to guide and create awareness for other software engineers on the Embedded Platform team on the subject of functional safety
    • Provide input, define and implement parts of the functional safety architecture for our in-house ECUs
    • Design and develop complex platform software (Low level and Middleware) for powertrain electronic control units, from prototype to production
    • Be responsible for development of highly reliable and critical electric vehicle components
    • Provide design, development, and debug support for integrating individual functions into the control unit

Qualifications

    • Proficiency in one of the programming languages C/C++
    • Knowledge of the ISO 26262 functional safety methodology and a demonstrated 3+ years of its application to the development of control unit software
    • Experience in developing software for safety critical systems in a regulated environment
    • A proven track record of developing and delivering software for embedded devices or controllers
    • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and architectures
    • Hands-on experience with on-chip debugging tools and troubleshooting both software and hardware
    • Experience with board bring-up and reading schematics and data sheets
    • Knowledge of the AUTOSAR stack and familiarity with AUTOSAR configuration tools
    • Experience in developing and debugging the MCAL layer and the RTE of the AUTOSAR stack
    • BS minimum in the areas of Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or other related fields
    • MS preferred
