We are currently seeking a Sr. Systems DevOps Engineer for our Newark location. This position requires an experienced technical expert in systems engineering, automation, and strong coding skills. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. 

The Role:

    • Responsible for the design, creation, and configuration of on-prem and cloud infrastructure environments using automation. 
    • Work closely with Linux & Windows systems engineers to design & automate processes. 
    • Provide technology assessments in support of automation.
    • Responsible for developing/driving improvements and maintaining/monitoring systems. 
    • Help improve the platforms to perform with maximum efficiency and security. 
    • Closely work with other teams to automate business continuity/disaster recovery. 
    • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and documenting issues. 
    • Implement best practices and take a proactive strategy. 
    • Participate in on-call rotation. 

Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of Site Reliability Engineer or Production Engineer. 
    • 5+ years of Windows, Linux server environment. 
    • 2+ years of experience in networking and working with network devices. 
    • A strong desire and aptitude for system automation defines success in this role. 
    • Strong coding experience in Python, Perl, and Ruby. 
    • Experience with system load balancing, scalability, GIT, SVN, and cybersecurity. 
    • Good understanding of modern application version control and development flow.  
    • Experience working with open-source applications and tools. 
    • Experience in DevOps, software engineering, and IT infrastructure management. 
    • Expertise with containers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). 
    • Expertise in implementing and administering systems in a virtualized cloud environment such as OpenStack, XenServer, or VMware.
    • Linux experience, including expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting (Ubuntu/CentOS). 
    • Experience with Kubernetes and web-based API/restful service. 
    • Experience with Configuration Management and infrastructure as code platforms (Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Terraform). 
    • Experience in Docker orchestration and management. 
    • Experience with DNS, NGINX, MongoDB, MySQL, and other databases. 

Education:

    • BS/MS in Information Technology/Computer Science or combination of education and equivalent work experience.
