About the Role
Have you built, coached, and trained high-performing sales development teams? Are you as equally excited about process development and analytics as you are mentoring a team to grow their skills and improve performance?

The Lucidworks Revenue team is seeking a Director, Global Sales Development with a track record of building teams and generating sales pipeline. In this role, you will design the strategy, grow your team, and create measurable, repeatable success through hands-on management and implementing processes that scale.

You will bring strong people-management experience and a passion for cross-disciplined collaboration with marketing, sales leadership, and revenue operations. You are intimately familiar with the tech stack that will help your team succeed; but you also know that tools are only as good as the strategy, training, and adoption that underpin their use. Under your leadership, your team will thrive on processing inbound leads and prosecuting outbound campaigns, using a disciplined approach to achieve predictable outcomes.

About You
You are a natural leader, with a strong bias toward motivation, encouragement, positive problem solving. You know what great lead management looks like, from systems to processes to skills to execution (ideally you’ve built this from the ground up before). You are fluent in prospecting tools such as (or similar to) Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, Drift, ZoomInfo, Vidyard, Calendly, etc., with strong point of view on how to activate each to deliver effective prospecting strategies and tactics. You are a cross-functional champion for sales development excellence and comfortable collaborating with peers across the organization to enhance messaging effectiveness, sales enablement, and revenue operations. 

You will:

    • Build our global MDR/SDR team from the ground up
    • Lead by example, playing a hands-on role demonstrating MDR/SDR best practices
    • Collaborate with demand generation, sales management, and revenue operations teams to refine lead lifecycle (MQL, SQL, etc.) criteria and lead scoring best practices
    • Develop cadences, scripts, and playbooks for the MDR/SDR team, in collaboration with marketing and sales enablement teams
    • Monitor and report on call activity, email activity, service levels, communication quality, and other key metrics
    • Create development programs that support the established promotion path for SDRs

You have:

    • 10+ years in B2B enterprise software sales, business development, or marketing (SaaS experience preferred)
    • 5+ years building and managing sales development teams  in growth stage organizations, including developing, mentoring, and establishing best practices 
    • Bachelor's Degree
