Your Mission:
Your mission is to support the member experience at the bustling fitness center, named Ignite, at 155 N Wacker with the highest level of customer service. This includes signing up members, handling questions about our member app, leading personal training sessions and group fitness classes, and maintaining a welcoming facility for all members. You will support the Tenant Experience team as needed with building-wide events aimed to increase engagement and tenant satisfaction.

The Legacy You’ll Leave:
After your time in this role, you will have brought daily joy to the hundreds of members at the Ignite Fitness Center. You created deep and meaningful relationships with the building’s management team, tenants, and external partners. Because of your work, Ignite became a tenant focal point for renewing their leases, leading 155 N Wacker to become a lasting fixture in the heart of downtown Chicago.

What You're Responsible For:

    • Fitness Center Operations: Support the operational strategy and management of the fitness center ensuring the operations work like a well oiled machine. This may include: ordering locker room supplies, cleaning equipment, folding and restocking towels and laundry, opening and closing procedures, etc.
    • Fitness Center Services: Coordinate and administer personal training and small group training sessions within the fitness center. Plan and lead group fitness classes to the membership population. Provide timely and professional communication to members before and after sessions to ensure a hospitality-focused experience.
    • Fitness Center Revenue Generation: Manage payment for memberships, sessions and session packages, upselling and cross-selling where appropriate. Implement and maintain a revenue generation strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals month over month.
    • Fitness Center Tours and Leasing Support: Support tours of the fitness center spaces to interested tenants, communicating lulafit’s offerings and private services throughout.
    • Member Satisfaction and Engagement: Prioritize tenant satisfaction by actively engaging with tenants to understand their needs and preferences. Implement innovative strategies and programs to enhance their experience, fostering a vibrant and connected community that drives long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
    • Building Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the building maintenance and operations teams to ensure the facility is well maintained.

Who You Are - Baseline Requirements:

    • You have 1+ years experience in a fitness center environment. You may have worked as an instructor of a boutique studio or a personal trainer at a commercial gym.
    • Even better if your experience has touched the corporate fitness or wellness sector.
    • You must have a valid Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization.
    • You must be comfortable teaching multiple formats of group fitness classes to groups of all sizes.
    • You are proficient with both the Google suite (what lulafit uses) and Microsoft Office (what our clients use).  Don’t worry, you don’t need to be great at PowerPoint nor super savvy with Excel.

Who You Are - Key Competencies:

    • Obsessively customer-centric.  In previous roles, you have exceeded what customers expected of you, you have an innate hospitality mindset and are happiest when you are serving others.
    • A hyper-organized ball juggler.  You stay extremely organized and are constantly reprioritizing your own work because it’s what makes you most effective.  Everyone refers to you as a stellar multi-tasker.
    • A stellar communicator.  You are known for clearly communicating your points - whether in email or verbally.  In this role you’ll be engaging with different levels of stakeholders (office managers to C-Suite).
    • Creative and innovative mindset. You are an authentically curious person. You consistently envision new possibilities and generate ideas beyond conventional boundaries. You have an inclination to tackle challenges with original approaches, seeking unique ways to address issues and improve existing methods.
    • Technologically savvy: You have worked within many different technological environments and you are quick to learn new platforms. You approach technology with a curious mind and strive to use any and all tech efficiently and effectively.
    • A reliable team player. Your past managers would refer to you as dependable and collaborative. You thrive working as part of a small team (in this case, you’ll have three other colleagues on-site) and understand how your daily tasks contribute to the success of the entire operation. You come to work each day ready to “pick up an oar” and do what’s needed for your team to be successful.
Our Core Values:
