About the role: 

As an Full-Stack Software Engineer at Lumafield, you will work on the software that powers our next-generation, manufacturing in-line CT scanning products from the edge to the cloud. You’ll move quickly to build interfaces, user experiences, and configuration capabilities for these products which meet the needs of our users. You’ll be able to deploy code to our devices on the edge, to prototyping environments in the cloud, or to our mainline production Voyager software.

This role is ideal for mid-career candidates who are looking for an opportunity to define the way in which next-generation inspection technologies are configured, used, studied, and reported on. This role has large product ownership scope and impact, and will work closely with our product and leadership teams.

This role is located in Lumafield’s San Francisco, CA office.  You may be required to travel occasionally to Lumafield’s Cambridge, MA office.

What You'll Do:

    • Lead the full-stack user application development effort for our next-generation in-line CT scanning products
    • Work closely and cross-functionality with our product, research, hardware, and software development teams to understand requirements and design architecture
    • Build interfaces and experiences which both are easy to use and provide the reporting and automation features that our customers require.

About You:

    • 2+ years of experience deploying software to business-critical systems which customers use
    • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or adjacent industries
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    • Strong desire to build things which make a huge impact for our customers
    • Readily leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, etc. to improve development speed while still developing and delivering a quality product

$150,000 - $200,000 a year
