Luminary Cloud is a well-funded Series A startup that is building the world’s best cloud-based physics simulation solution to empower mechanical engineers to rapidly iterate and test their products. Our mission is to democratize and modernize high-performance computing for commercial engineering & science, i.e. automotive, aerospace, consumer products, food & beverage, etc., a $20+ billion technology market which has barely entered the cloud era.  Our SaaS product enables realistic & interactive engineering simulations, focused on automated product design exploration & optimization.  We have a unique opportunity to fundamentally improve how physical products are designed, new ideas are tested, and new discoveries are made.

As a series A startup in Beta headed towards launch, we offer an exciting opportunity to see first hands how “go-to-market” works at a startup. If you’re a physicist, you’ll work alongside world renowned engineers and scientists. If you’re not a physicist, you’ll be part of the impressive cloud platform and UX teams. Our entire team is comprised of veterans from Google, NASA, Bosch, Lawrence Livermore, Stanford University, GRAIL and more.

As a member of the UI team, you will help build our cutting edge SaaS application and can help define the UI architecture and direction for our rapidly-growing, early-stage company.  This will involve end-to-end delivery of UI elements and features -- working with customers, the Luminary Design team, and the Scientific Visualization team to ensure our innovative application is simply the best in its class.

We’re looking for User Interface developers who are:

Excited to dive in on Day 1 to understand our product UI and tech stack (single page Javascript front end using React) with real-time/interactive, large scale 3D data visualization and realistic physics rendering

Passionate about UI and UX - Understands how a user interface can make the difference between a good product and a great one

Future UI leaders - In addition to delivering UI elements, you will also help review other engineers’ designs and code, and will help to define the UI strategy for Luminary

Customer driven - You enjoy meeting with customers and potential customers to understand how they use the product and how the product can be improved
