QA Engineer - Android

Lumosity is a brain training program with over 85 million users and 4.4 billion games played. In addition to improving Lumosity, we’re also creating new products that combine science, engineering and design to help people form better sleep habits, practice mindfulness, and more. We are looking for a QA Engineer to add to our growing team.


    • Be embedded with the android app team to test all of their features prior to release
    • Write comprehensive test plans derived from specs, emails and conversations
    • Manage tasks and testing scope for your testing projects
    • Attend all android and QA team meetings: staff meetings, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and stand ups
    • Collaborate with your QA team to strategize how to assign and prioritize work for every release
    • Make recommendations to improve product reliability, user experience, and quality assurance best practices and processes
    • Work closely with project management, developers, designers, and product managers to deliver the best product to our users
    • Assist the QA team in testing for bi-weekly mobile releases


    • 2 years experience in a Test/QA capacity
    • Experience developing, launching, and supporting products on Mobile (Android preferred)
    • Exceptional software testing and communication skills
    • Experience researching and writing up detailed bugs
    • Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Experience designing, documenting and executing manual tests
    • An unmatched eye for quality, and an eagerness to jump in, find issues, and proactively drive their resolutions
    • Familiarity with the Lumosity product
    • Degree in Computer Science or related field/experience preferred
    • Some experience programming with one or more scripting languages
    • Automated testing experience preferred
