Overview
We're seeking an experienced independent recruiting contractor for an immediate need that has strong potential to become a permanent role, if that's something you're interested in. Help us fill 2 Staff or Senior Software Engineer positions within 90 days while building the foundation for our internal tech recruiting function at Luna.
We will provide clear job descriptions and established compensation bands, a defined interview process that includes technical coding assessments, and direct access to hiring managers and the engineering team. Additionally, we offer ATS access for candidate tracking and collaboration.
Our success metrics prioritize quality over quantity, focusing on candidates who advance past initial technical screens. We are looking to fill both positions within 90 days to maintain efficiency. Moreover, we focus on pipeline development to ensure a steady stream of candidates for future staffing requirements.
Primary Objectives
Fill 2 Staff or Senior Software Engineers roles within 90 days (8+ years experience, Ruby/backend focus)
Source senior-level engineers who can architect scalable healthcare technology solutions
Build a pipeline of engineering talent for future needs
Key Responsibilities
Source Staff/Senior-level engineers (8+ years) with Ruby expertise and full-stack capabilities
Assess experience with Ruby, backend systems, cross-functional leadership, and healthcare technology interest
Track candidates through our existing interview process using Lever ATS
Identify candidates passionate about healthcare innovation and meaningful impact
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience with a proven track record of placing senior engineers
- Portfolio of recent placements - be prepared to share success stories and metrics
- Technical interview experience - understanding of coding assessments and technical evaluation
- Independent contractor setup - must have own sourcing tools, LinkedIn access, etc.
- ATS experience - comfortable working with Lever or similar platforms
- Experience recruiting for Ruby/backend focus
- Track record with companies similar to ours in size/stage
- Understanding of competitive compensation for senior roles
$40 - $50 an hour
