Who is the Infrastructure Squad?
The infrastructure squad (internally known as SWAT Squad) is responsible for all cloud resources' reliability, scalability, and performance. We provide the foundation upon which Luxury Presence’s products are built. SREs design, operate, and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure and provide frameworks, pipelines, and tooling for Engineering teams to support production applications design, deployment, and management.
What will you do as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)?
As an SRE, you will work with Infrastructure and Product Delivery teams, leverage tooling, and automation, ensure the readiness of our kubernetes clusters, improve observability, make sure our system scales, optime performance, and support operational excellence practice.
Responsibilities:
- Support all kubernetes clusters stability, and manage kubernetes configurations across all applications, internal to engineering or customer-facing.
- Support the automation of AWS resources such as IAM, SNS, SQS, VPC, RDS, Lambda, EKS, among other AWS services.
- Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices using IaC tools like Terraform.
- Partner with architecture and external development teams to design reusable frameworks and technical solutions.
- Support and manage our Gitops framework under the continuous delivery platform ArgoCD.
- Integrate different Prometheus exporters into our operations cluster.
- Maintain our Monitoring and Alerting system up-to-date, and support the engineering team to configure dashboard and monitors on Datadog.
- Build frameworks to automate manual cloud operations.
- Build and Support the internal LuxuryPresence Kubernetes operator on Golang.
- Support Infrastructure squad On-call practice, You will participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
- Reduce application vulnerabilities.
- Manage AWS RDS and ElasticSearch clusters.
- Support incident investigations.
Skills And Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional combined experience as a Software Engineer and SRE.
- 3 years minimum of professional experience as SRE or DevOps Engineer.
- Expert-level knowledge in containerized environments for production workloads utilizing Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems.
- MUST have working experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as AWS or GCP (ideally AWS).
- MUST understand AWS VPC, subnets, Network ACLs, Security Groups, IAM Role, EKS.
- Experience configuring Kubernetes RBAC Authorization, Ingress controller, ServiceAccount, and AWS role annotations.
- Experience in automating releases, continuous integration/delivery systems, and relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Actions, GitlabCI, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Professional Experience with monitoring, observability systems such as Datadog and Prometheus.
- Ability to triage and resolve incidents, and lead incident investigrations
- Professional experience with security practices, credential rotations, secrets management systems such as the Vault project.
- Hands-on experience setting up log aggregator as Fluentbit, FluentD, or LogStash. Experience setting up platforms like ELK stack or hybrids is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GitOps, FluxCD, or ArgoCD is a plus
- Building Kubernetes Operator is a plus.
- Golang experience is a plus.
