Are you passionate about cutting-edge Technology and implementing technical solutions?
We are looking for a customer-oriented and motivated Solution Architect for our Houston office who has experience with architecture, design, implementation, and upgrade of various Microsoft technologies! You will possess the sufficient technical depth to work with virtualization, server, and storage technologies and will utilize your strong business and technical consulting skills in order to solve business challenges while creating the desired outcomes.
A Day in the Life:
- Support Long View’s Microsoft portfolio by working with customers and internal stakeholders, defining customer solutions, and delivering engagements that are innovative and exceed business requirements
- Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, taking into account all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements
- Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
- Design, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions for Microsoft related technologies such as Skype for Business, MS Teams, etc.
- Develop complete customer-focused technology solutions for current and new service offerings, considering all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery items
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education to the Sales Team, customers, or prospects
- Create relevant documentation as required including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
- Align with clients to build long-term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View
- Continuously improve team processes to ensure information is of the highest quality, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of industry experience working as a subject matter expert in Microsoft virtualization
- 5+ years of experience in and an advanced level understanding of the following technologies:
- o Microsoft Server
- o Azure
- o Office 365/Exchange
- o Skype for Business
- o Teams
- o Active Directory
- o HyperV and VMware
- Ability to provide technical services on the design and implementation side
- Capability to translate technical features into tangible customer business benefits
- Capacity to respond to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
- Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
- Familiarity with IT architecture principles and industry frameworks and willingness to work within and propose improvements to the approved Long View Systems architecture frameworks and methodologies
- Proven ability to understand and capture complex business requirements to create technical solutions
