About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Benefits and Wellbeing, the Manager of Benefits will be responsible for the implementation and administration of employee benefits. This role will ensure our benefits offerings are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with our commitment to employee wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of benefits administration and wellness initiatives and a passion for enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our benefits programs, including enrollment, billing, communications, reporting plan audits, and employee support
- Manage annual open enrollment and benefit selection process in partnership with our outside broker
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, third-party administrators, and internal team members on various matters such as plan design, contracts, payments, systems administration and renewal
- Ensure all benefits programs comply with all regulations, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, and HIPAA
- Manage relationships with benefits providers, brokers, and consultants to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing
- Develop and deliver clear, effective communication strategies to educate employees about benefits and well-being programs
- Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of benefits and well-being programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues, ensuring a high level of customer service
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our benefits and well-being offerings
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in benefits administration and/or employee well-being programs
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., Workday) and benefits administration systems
$95,000 - $146,000 a year
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time Benefits Manager position is $95,000 - $146,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
At Lyra, base salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which additionally may include discretionary restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, and retirement benefits. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
