About the Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Sr. DevOps engineer to join our team. As a Lyra Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, as well as supporting our software delivery pipelines. This role can be carried out from our Burlingame, CA headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.


Responsibilities

    • Design and implement infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Python, and Kubernetes onto our AWS cloud platform.
    • Collaborate closely with the engineering, data science and machine learning teams to continually implement, maintain, and improve our cloud infrastructure and developer experience.
    • Apply a product mindset for the internal development platform used across teams.
    • Automate infrastructure and operations tasks using scripting languages.
    • Enforce and adhere to best practices for security and reliability for our infrastructure and applications.
    • Monitor and analyze systems for network performance, and implement proactive measures to ensure the availability and reliability of our infrastructure.
    • Enforcing IAM processes and tools that ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
    • Working alongside engineers to ensure that security vulnerabilities are remediated.

Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience managing Cloud Service Providers, with a solid understanding & commitment to cloud security / best practices around identity and compliance.
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) a must, especially many of the following: EKS, SageMaker, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, KMS, RDS, ELB/ALB, MWAA, Identity Center
    • Experience designing and implementing AWS infrastructure with IaC tools, specifically Terraform.
    • Experience building and maintaining templates and packages with Helm.
    • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD.
    • Hands-on experience with container technologies, e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes and Linux.
    • Proficient scripting skills using Python, Bash or a similar language.
    • Experience working in an Agile project team.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience administering production level kubernetes clusters.
    • Experience implementing kubernetes workload isolation and security strategies.
    • Network Policy, Admission Control, RBAC, Service Mesh
    • Proficiency with logging analysis, performance monitoring, and performance tuning.

$114,000 - $157,000 a year
As a full-time Sr. DevOps Engineer you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 - $157,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
